Using Echo

Echo lets you share a quick note about your mood or plans, like "Want to Drink" or "Want to Talk." Learn how to post, how long echoes stay up, and how reactions work.

Echo is a feature for sharing a quick note about your mood or plans right now, and finding people who are on the same page. Post whatever's on your mind in the moment, like "Anyone up for drinks tonight?" or "Looking for someone to chat with at a cafe."

Post an echo

  1. Open "Echo" from the bottom tabs and tap + at the bottom right
  2. Choose a "Category"
    • Want to Drink / Want to Play / Want to Talk / Cafe/Tea / Hangout / Meal
  3. Write your message (up to 140 characters)
  4. Post it

Please wait 1 minute between posts (otherwise you'll see "You can't post again within 1 minute").

Who sees it and for how long

  • Echoes automatically disappear 1 month after posting, so old plans don't stick around forever.
  • You can sort the echo list by "Newest" or "Nearest" and filter by category. When sorting by "Nearest," posts without location data appear at the end.
  • Each person's profile shows their 1 most recent echo.

React to echoes

You can add one of three reactions to an echo you're interested in. Tap it again to remove it.

You can see reactions you've added and received in the "Received" and "Sent" tabs of "Echo Action History" at the top right of the Echo screen.

You can't reply to an echo. If you'd like to talk to someone, tap their name to open their profile, then send a message or an action.
